                        DAILY ROUTINE OF A MIDDLE CLASS HOUSEWIFE

  The day of house wife Yasmeen starts early in morning when every one is sleeping she after offering Sala starts making Breakfast, along with calling children to wake at the same time she helps them in preparation for school ,helping to take break fast with attention given to elders with providing them early morning Tea ,helping husband for going to work. At one time she is doing multiple tasks.

    After all she sets house if house help comes supervises her ,cook food for lunch sometimes she eats what ever is left over or skips breakfast ,meanwhile children are back to home & she become busy with them & in evening helps them in Home work , again it is time for evening tea which she prepares & serves ,wash dishes and start preparing dinner ,Serves to all family members & if have time accompany them for meal otherwise as usual she eats left over  and late night again prepares school Uniform for children  & clothes for husband ,gives Milk  & Medicines to elderly  and goes bed at last to be ready to wake up next early morning  Like Yasmeen this is more or less usual routine of 79.4% of housewives.

            The most popular question of husbands after returning from work WHAT WAS YOU DOING WHOLE DAY  he ignores clean house cooked food ready to change clothes .

        Other Disgusting question from a man IS YOUR WIFE WORKING & ANSWER IS NO SHE IS A HOUSEWIFE he forget to tell that she looks after house ,children ,My parents even Me

Data and Statistics: According to recent studies, the economic value of unpaid work done by housewives contributes significantly to the GDP. However, this work often goes unrecognized and undervalued in societal norms. According to ILO the value of unpaid domestic work is as much as 9% Global GDP and it values 11 Trillion USD.

        This work is invisible because no one pays for this and the working woman brings Money which are visible and no doubt she also has to contribute in house hold work rather she bears double burden but to some extent she enjoys some social status in Family or outside.

    Studies in Pakistan show that only 0.5% husbands help their wives in House hold chores and if any couple decides to save money for better future and share house hold work (Wife is working outside) the husband is labelled as slave of wife and his friends & family members pass unhealthy jokes on him.

UNPAID WORK BY PAKISTANI HOUSEWIVES IN FIELDS
                    The rural women work more as milk cows, collects firewood, look after domestic animals ,cook food in hot days on fetches, wash clothes by hand and much more.

: It's crucial to empathize with the challenges faced by housewives, including societal pressures and expectations that contribute to the undervaluation of their work. The emotional and physical toll of this labor cannot be overstated.

MALE CHILDREN MUST BE TAUGHT TO HELP THEIR MOTHERS IN CHILDHOOD

 As we celebrate Labor Day and honor the contributions of workers, let's also dedicate this day to recognizing the unseen labor of housewives. Take a moment to reflect on the unpaid work in your own household and consider ways to show appreciation and support. Together, we can strive for gender equality in household responsibilities and ensure that every contribution is valued and respected.
