UNPAID WORK DONE BY WOMEN AT HOME IN PAKISTAN WHAT IS UNPAID WORK OF WOMEN The work done by women at home which includes cooking Meals ,Taking care of Children, Elders even Sick, Cleaning ,washing Clothes and in rural areas collecting fire hoods on their hoods as fuel ,Collecting water from wells or other sources is totally unpaid as neither it can be measured nor it is considered as work as their inherited duty. 75% of house hold work is done by women at home but it is Invisible ,Unrecognized and undervalued According to express Tribune 26 June 2019 Pakistani women face worst disparity in unpaid work due to Gender Inequality. At present our country Pakistan is facing shortage 6500 MW of electricity which is about 32 % short of demand, the reasons are complex. According to daily Dawn on October 17 (2022) Pakistan is facing electricity crises which leads to load shedding as everyone knows that Government has its own interests whether of power or political resulting in long hours of load shedding in country which varies from 8 to 12 hours per day and as now electricity is basic necessity of life not a luxury it effects every aspect of life. Every year 12th June is celebrated as in world “ World day against child labor” The International Labor Organization (ILO) launched this day in 2002. The purpose is to raise awareness and take action to stop child labor. According to Who any child below 18 years is considered as child and according to ILO child labor is defined as any work that deprives children of their childhood ,their potential and dignity and that which is harmful for their physical and mental improvement. All works are not included as child labor as The work which Morally, socially ,Physically & Mentally harmful to child. GENDER BASED VIOLENCE/INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE

In broad term it is known as VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN particularly by Intimate Partner According to an International organization Pathfinder (Working on GBV) and Action aid (Ref 1/11/2022 changing the world with women & Girls) GBV affects women & Girls in every society in the world. One in every 3 women of age between 15 to 49 years experience GBV /Intimate Partner Violence and Globally 81000 women & Girls are killed in 2022 among which 47000 (58%) by their intimate partner or a family member which is an average of one Death every 11 minutes.
